The Student Life section of this website showcases the non-academic resources and organizations established by and for women-identifying students at Davidson College from the full adoption of coeducation in 1972 until the present day. When possible, we use documents created by and for students to better capture and emphasize the student perspective, though our resources created by students are limited in some instances.

Athletics: Here, you will find information about the impact of Title IX on women’s athletics at Davidson College, stories from important female-identifying athletes who led the charge for women’s sports at Davidson, and significant moments from the early years of women’s athletics at the college. This page primarily focuses on the 1970s-1990s time period.
Eating Houses: Here, we highlight the founding of several Davidson College eating houses, the work of current eating houses, and the evolution of Davidson’s understanding of this unique tradition over the last 50 years.
