Quote: I am glad to reply to your inquiry about our fraternity lodges.
You will understand that within these lodges we do not have dormitory
facilities or eating facilities. Eleven houses are built in a court adjacent
to the campus. The houses have been grouped for the most part around a
semicircle through which there is a drive. Three houses not included in the
circle have their backs toward the circle and front into the campus. The
College constructed the houses on its own land and rents them to the
fraternities. The total cost of rental and maintenance, including heat, light,
and water, is $500 per year. Cunningham, John R. Letter to J. F. Findlay.
