Part of Davidson is a Presbyterian liberal arts college for men founded in 1837, is located 20 miles north of Charlotte. The Classical Revival buildings on the shaded 80-acre main campus and the 106-acre Lake Campus on Lake Norman, only four miles away, provide completely adequate facilities.
