INSTRUCTIONS READ TO STUDENT BODY, OCT. 1 1941, FOR MOVING FROM OLD TO NEW LIBRARY BUILDING. HOLIDAY DECLARED FOR WORK.

Students will please line up in single file, three feet apart by classes. The seniors will line up on Line One which begins at the old building. The Senior Line will enter the old building by the South door and follow the string marked Line One into the building until they reach Mr. Turner in the stacks. The other end of the senior line will probably end about in front of Chambers. The Sophomores will finish out this line to the new building lining up three feet apart as the Seniors. The south end of the sophomore line will enter the new building by the middle door on the east and follow the string marked Line One across the circulation desk to Mr. Frieze in the stacks.

Juniors will line up on Line Two entering the old building by the west door and follow the string marked Line Two to Mr. Newbold in the stacks. Freshmen will complete the Junior line beginning about in front of Chambers and enter the new building by the north door, east side, and follow the Line two string to Mr. Walker in the stacks.

There should be twenty-five or thirty men who are not needed in the stationary lines but we will have to wait until the lines form to see how many there are. These extra men will report to Dr. Frontis Johnston in the basement of the old building and receive instructions from him.

Faculty members are asked to stand anywhere they choose, preferably by their pet students.

I have asked the members of the O.D.K. to help us line up. They have special instructions, and if you will cooperate with them it will make things run more smoothly.

The bugles will blow at 10:15 for the rest period. If you are passing books when the bugles blow, please finish passing what is on the way before breaking the line. The bugles will also sound to resemble at 10:40. Please reassemble as promptly as possible, and take the same place you had originally. During the rest. Soft drinks will be served by the college, gratis. Please leave the bottles near where you found them.

The holiday ends with the lunch hour, but we do not expect to have finished moving all the books. If any of you have enough energy and interest left to help during vacant periods after lunch we are going to ask that volunteers assemble at the old building at one thirty and finish the job.

Please let me remind you again that if the books are dropped or roughly handled, we will lose more than we gain. Please don't race the books, and be sure that the next man who has got them before you let go.
