- Formerly enslaved by J. R. Blake. After the Civil War, he was tasked with "stopping leaks, mending windows and other necessary work because there was no money to pay for such work.” He married his wife Dinah (or Dianna) Wilson on September 18, 1865. In 1880, he is listed as living in Davidson with his wife Dianna, sons George, Amos, Charles, and Daniel, and his stepdaughter Jane Davis.
